WordPress · design, development and repair Phoenix, Arizona from $1,000 · fixes quoted up front

Phoenix WordPress developer.

About 15 years of building, fixing and speeding up WordPress sites. New builds, rescues, WooCommerce and the updates nobody wants to do. One Phoenix developer, start to finish.

WordPress work

01

New WordPress sites

A custom theme built for your business, not a $59 theme with your logo dropped in. Fast, clean, and easy for you to edit.

02

Fixes and rescues

White screen, hacked site, broken update, a plugin that took the site down. I find what broke and put it back.

03

Speed and Core Web Vitals

Image cleanup, caching, trimming plugin bloat and slow queries, so the site loads fast on a phone and Google stops flagging it.

04

WooCommerce stores

Products, payments, shipping, coupons and memberships, set up so orders actually reach you and checkout does not break.

05

Updates, backups and security

Core, theme and plugin updates tested before they go live, daily backups, malware scanning and login lockdown.

06

Moves and redesigns

New host, new design or new domain without losing your Google rankings, your content or your email.

WordPress or Laravel?

The right tool,
not my favorite one.

I work in both. WordPress is great for a site you want to edit yourself. When the site starts running part of the business, Laravel does it better. I will tell you which one you need, even when the answer is the cheaper one.

Ask me which fits →
A

Stay on WordPress

You need pages, a blog, a contact form, maybe a small store, and you want to make edits yourself. WordPress is the right call.

B

Fix what you have

The site mostly works but is slow, outdated or fragile. A cleanup, speed pass and a care plan usually beat a rebuild.

C

Move to Laravel

You are stacking plugins for bookings, logins, account pricing or a back office, and every update breaks one. That is a custom build.

Investment

A fixed price, before I start.

New builds get a written scope and one price. Fixes get a quote after I look at the site. No hourly meter running in the background.

Questions

WordPress, plainly.

The ones people ask before they hand over the login.

How long have you worked with WordPress?
About 15 years. I have built WordPress sites from scratch, written custom themes and plugins, cleaned up hacked sites and moved hundreds of pages between hosts without losing rankings.
Can you fix my existing WordPress site?
Usually, yes. Send me the address and what is wrong. I will tell you what it will take and what it costs before I touch anything.
Do you use page builders like Elementor or Divi?
I can work on sites built with them, and I will keep yours on one if that is what you are comfortable editing. For new builds I prefer a lean custom theme with the block editor, because it loads faster and breaks less.
When should I move off WordPress?
When the site has to run part of your business: bookings, customer logins, account pricing, a back office. Past a point, stacking plugins costs more each year than building it properly in Laravel once. If you are not there, I will tell you to stay on WordPress.
Can you host it too?
Yes. I set up and watch managed WordPress hosting, with backups and monitoring, and GoDaddy support behind the plan. You can also keep your current host.

Tell me what you are building.

A two-line problem description is enough to start. You get an answer within one business day, and a straight one either way.

“Chris developed a very slick POS system for us that addressed all of the shortcomings of our previous vendor. He was able to take our wish list and turn it into efficient, reliable and easy to use software. Best part is the ongoing support - any new features, adjustments or issues that arise are addressed overnight.”
