Accessibility
Last reviewed: October 18, 2026.
I want everyone to be able to use this site, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, screen magnification, voice control or reduced motion settings. If something here gets in your way, I want to hear about it.
The standard
This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. WCAG is the standard courts and the US Department of Justice look to when they ask whether a website is accessible.
What that means here
- Keyboard. Every page works with a keyboard alone. A "Skip to content" link comes first, and whatever has focus is outlined so you can see where you are.
- Screen readers. Pages use real headings, landmarks, form labels and image descriptions. Menus and pop-ups keep focus inside them while they are open and give it back when they close. Form errors and confirmations are read out.
- Contrast. Text and controls meet the AA contrast levels in both the dark and the light theme. You can switch themes from the top of any page.
- Zoom and small screens. Pages reflow down to 320 pixels wide and zoom to 200% without losing anything.
- Motion. If your device asks for reduced motion, the animations stop. Nothing on the site blinks for longer than five seconds.
How it is checked
Every page of the site is tested with automated accessibility tools in both themes, then checked by hand with a keyboard, including the menus, pop-ups and forms. Automated tools cannot catch everything, which is why your feedback matters.
Known limits
- Google Maps. The free rank check draws its results on a map made by Google, and a map is hard to use without seeing it. If it gets in your way, call or email and I will run the check for you and send the results in writing.
- Card payments. Card details are typed into Stripe's secure form, which Stripe builds and maintains. If you have trouble paying, I can send an invoice you can pay another way.
This statement covers the public site at d1g.it.
