Phoenix web development.

For when your website needs to do more than look good: bookings, logins, payments, ordering, and a back office your team runs on. Built by one Phoenix web developer.

What I build

01

Online booking

Customers pick a service and a real open time, get reminders, and move or cancel without calling. Your staff sees it all in one calendar.

02

Customer logins and portals

Accounts with a text-code sign in, order history, saved details, documents and forms. No passwords for anyone to forget.

03

Payments and ordering

Card payments, deposits, memberships, gift cards, invoices, and online ordering with pickup or delivery.

04

Wholesale and account pricing

Approved business accounts that see their own prices, order online and pay by card or by check on delivery.

05

Connections to your other tools

Your site talking to the systems you already use: payments, calendars, maps, text messages and email, so nobody copies data by hand.

06

An admin that fits your business

A back office built around how your team actually works: orders, customers, schedules, inventory and reports in one place.

Designer or developer?

When the site
has a job to do.

A page that tells people who you are is web design. The moment it has to take a booking, a payment or an order, or keep track of customers, you need a web developer. You get one person for both, building since 2009.

A

You answer the same calls all day

Hours, prices, open times. A booking page or an order form answers them for you.

B

Things live in three places

Bookings in one app, payments in another, customers in a spreadsheet. A custom build puts them in one.

C

Your current site cannot do it

The theme or plugin almost works, and the workaround is costing more each month than building it properly once.

Investment

A fixed quote for the whole build.

You tell me what the site has to do, I come back with a written scope and one fixed price, agreed before any work starts. No hourly meter.

Website with a custom feature

A booking page, a quote form that does the math, a members area.

Starting @ $1,000

Online store or ordering

Just need a great-looking site? That is web design.

Questions

Web development, plainly.

Seventeen years in, these are the ones people ask first.

What is the difference between web design and web development?
Design is how the site looks and reads. Development is what it does: booking, logins, payments, ordering, and the connections to your other systems. Most sites need a bit of both. I do both, so nothing gets lost between a designer and a developer.
Can you add features to a site I already have?
Often, yes. It depends on what the site is built on. Tell me what it runs on and what you want it to do, and I will tell you straight whether adding to it or rebuilding is the better deal.
What do you build with?
Laravel and PHP on the server, modern JavaScript in the browser, MySQL for data, and native-feeling apps for iPhone and Android when a phone app is part of the job. Boring, proven tools that any good developer can pick up later.
Who owns the code?
You do, once the project is paid. The code and the data are yours. No lock-in.
How long does a build take?
It depends on what the site has to do, and you get a timeline with the quote. For comparison, a straightforward marketing site is usually live in 1 to 2 weeks.

Tell me what you are building.

A two-line problem description is enough to start. You get an answer within one business day, and a straight one either way.

“Chris developed a very slick POS system for us that addressed all of the shortcomings of our previous vendor. He was able to take our wish list and turn it into efficient, reliable and easy to use software. Best part is the ongoing support - any new features, adjustments or issues that arise are addressed overnight.”
